I recently tried Outfittery, which is a clothing box with a personal shopper catering to both men and women. My husband and I tested it together. In the following lines, I'll share my thoughts on the service, as well as my partner's opinion on the selection for men.

Outfittery is a fashion subscription box that initially catered only to men, but is now available for both men and women. It is commitment-free and shipping is free.

Like its competitor Lookiero, this is a personal shopping service. This means that when you sign up, you will be asked to complete a profile questionnaire to determine your style and what you want from the box. This tool will help the personal shopper choose clothing that is likely to appeal to you.

When you receive your items, you have 7 days to decide which ones to keep and which ones to return. Return shipping is free. Once Outfittery receives the returned items, you will be charged for the items you decided to keep!

How does Outfittery’s personal shopper choose the clothing?

When you sign up, you'll be asked to complete a questionnaire that helps to determine your preferences and what the Outfittery box can offer you.

This questionnaire will ask you to choose outfits that suit you from a selection in photos. You will also be able to indicate if there are certain clothing items you don’t wear (such as brand logos, specific patterns, and colours, etc.), as well as your favourite brands and your age range.

Next, you'll be asked to provide details about your body shape, specifically:

Depending on whether you are a man or a woman, you will also be asked for your pant, shoe, and dress sizes... as well as your preferred style (straight, slim, skinny, loose...).

👉 All of these responses will help the personal shopper to select clothing that is likely to appeal to you and meet your needs, while staying within your budget. If you have a specific request, you will also have the option to specify it before finalizing your order. For example, in my husband's case, he was able to indicate that he has contact allergies to certain metals.

What happens next with the settlement?

After completing your profile, you have the option to:

• PayPal.

The payment method you choose will be the default one used for the billing of the clothing items you decide to keep once received. If you need to change this payment method later, you can always do so.

❗ Attention: to ensure that your payment method is secure, Outfittery will place a hold of $100 for twelve hours after it has been validated. The money will not be charged, but you must have that amount available in your bank account.

What sizes of clothing does Outfittery offer?

👨 For men, Outfittery offers outfits ranging from size 36 (XS) to 52 (3XL) with shoes available from size 39 to 48, catering to a variety of body types.

👩 For women, Outfittery selects clothing from XS to XXL. You will be asked for your pant size (between 26 and 34) and you can specify the length, between 30, 32, or 34 (to avoid hemming!).

Are there any fees associated with registration?

My Verdict on the Outfittery Box ⭐⭐⭐

Outfittery launched its women's box in May, and I thought it would be a great opportunity to try the experience as a couple, so we could compare. In June, we both ordered our first boxes, providing our preferences and needs through the profile questionnaire.

I found this one to be very comprehensive and quite accurate, so I had a lot of expectations regarding the boxes. They arrived about two weeks later.

The packaging is really high quality, and the box resembles a little suitcase, making you want to open it right away! The clothes inside are neatly folded and separated into bundles.

On my end, I only kept one item from this first selection, as my wardrobe was already quite full and I didn’t love everything. I appreciated the easy returns! My husband kept several items from his box and was very happy with the overall selection.

We were supposed to receive the next box in September, but I received a shipping notice in August. I had to contact Outfittery by phone to cancel this incorrect shipment, which took a bit of time. It's unfortunate that this cannot be done through the website.

We received the September selection a few weeks ago, and I'm really happy with it as it suits me perfectly! I mentioned to my personal shopper that I was looking for skirts and dresses for the autumn-winter season, and she truly listened to me.
