I recently tried Outfittery, which is a clothing box service with a personal shopper aimed at both men and women. My husband and I tested it together. In the following lines, I'll share my thoughts on it, as well as my partner's opinion on the selection for men.

How does Outfittery work?
Outfittery is a fashion box that was originally aimed solely at men, but is now available for both men and women. It is commitment-free and delivery is free.
Like its competitor Lookiero, this is a personal shopping service. This means that when you sign up, you'll be required to complete a profile questionnaire to determine your style and expectations for the box. This tool will enable the personal shopper to select clothing items that are likely to appeal to you.
Upon receipt, you can try these on and you have 7 days to decide what you want to keep and what you wish to return. Returns are free of charge. Once Outfittery receives the returned items, you will be charged for the items you chose to keep!
How does the personal shopper at Outfittery choose the clothing?
When you sign up, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire that helps to determine your preferences and what the Outfittery box can offer you.
This questionnaire will require you to select outfits that suit you from the proposed options shown in the photos. You will also have the opportunity to specify if you don't wear certain items of clothing (such as branded logos, specific patterns and colours, etc.), as well as your favourite brands and your age range.
Next, you will be asked to provide details about your body shape, specifically:
Depending on whether you are male or female, you will also be asked for your trouser size, shoe size, and dress size... but also which fit you prefer (straight, slim, skinny, loose...).

Finally, you can specify the occasion for which you are looking for an outfit:
👩 The questionnaire for women varies slightly. You can indicate your body shape (hourglass, triangle, oval, diamond...), as well as your preferences for cuts (fitted, straight, loose).
👉 All of these responses will enable the personal shopper to select clothing that is likely to appeal to you and meet your needs, while staying within your budget. If you have a specific request, you will also have the opportunity to specify it before finalising your order. For instance, in my husband's case, he was able to indicate that he had contact allergies to certain metals.
What happens next with the payment?
After completing your profile, you have the option to choose from:
- credit card,
- PayPal.
The payment method you select will be the default one used for charging you for any clothing items you decide to keep once received. If you need to change this payment method later, that will always be possible.
❗ Please note, to ensure that your payment method is reliable, Outfittery will pre-authorise £100 for twelve hours after it has been validated. The money will not be taken, but you must have this amount available in your bank account.
What are the clothing sizes offered by Outfittery?
👨 For men, Outfittery offers outfits in sizes 36 (XS) to 52 (3XL) with shoes available in sizes 39 to 48, catering to a wide range of body shapes.
👩 For women, Outfittery selects clothing from XS to XXL. You will be asked for the width of your trousers (between 26 and 34) and you can specify the length, between 30, 32, or 34 (to avoid hems!).
📸 You have the option to send photographs of yourself to your personal shopper, so they can take this into account when selecting your clothing. This is particularly helpful for finding outfits that suit your complexion and highlight your eyes.

You have several options to choose from:

- Use the "autopilot" feature that allows you to choose the frequency at which your personal shopper will send you a box, every 2, 3, or 4 months. This tool can be activated from your profile and deactivated whenever you wish. You can also specify if you would like to skip the delivery of your next box and wait for the one after.

Compared to other fashion subscription services, I find that Outfittery's profiling questionnaire is very comprehensive. It really helps to establish what we like. The only other service I've come across that offers such a level of personalisation is Little Cigogne, but they only cater to children.
👉 As for me, I have a few curves, and I often struggle to find nice clothes in size 18. The outfits suggested by my personal shopper were really lovely and fitted me well, accentuating my shape.

When working with the public or dealing with discerning clients, a specific dress code is often required. Outfittery allows you, if you wish, to purchase smart clothing to enable you to work and to save time on building your professional wardrobe.

You also have the option to contact your personal shopper by phone, and it's free of charge. You can even request, again at no cost, to get a preview of your upcoming box.
Are there any registration fees?
No, registration is free. However, to verify your payment method, whether it’s through PayPal or a debit/credit card, you must have at least €100 in your bank account. This is because Outfittery will hold this amount for 12 hours to authenticate your payment method.

My verdict on the Outfittery box ⭐⭐⭐
Outfittery launched its women's box in May, and I thought it would be a lovely opportunity to try the experience as a couple for a bit of comparison. In June, we both ordered our first boxes, specifying our preferences and needs through the profile questionnaire.
I found this one to be very thorough and quite detailed, so I had high expectations regarding the boxes. They arrived about two weeks later.
The packaging is truly high quality, and the parcel resembles a small suitcase, making you eager to open it quickly! The clothes inside are neatly folded and separated into batches.

On my side, I only kept one item from this initial selection, as my wardrobe was already quite full and not everything appealed to me. I really appreciated the ease of returns! My husband kept several items from his box and was very happy with the overall selection.
We were meant to receive a next box in September, but I received a shipping notice in August. I had to contact Outfittery to cancel this incorrect shipment over the phone, which took me a bit of time. It's a shame that this isn't possible through the website.
We received the September selection a few weeks ago, and I am really pleased with it; it's just perfect for me! I had informed my personal shopper that I was looking for skirts and dresses for autumn-winter, and she was truly attentive to my needs.
