I recently tried Outfittery, which is a clothing subscription box with a personal shopper designed for both men and women. My husband and I tested it together. In the following lines, I’ll share my thoughts on it, as well as my partner’s opinion on the selection for men.

Outfittery is a fashion box service that initially catered only to men, but is now available for both men and women. It is commitment-free and shipping is free.

Like its competitor Lookiero, this is a personal shopper service. This means that when you sign up, you will be asked to complete a style questionnaire to determine your preferences and expectations for the box. This tool will help the personal shopper select clothing that is likely to appeal to you.

Upon receiving your order, you can try on the items and you have 7 days to decide what you want to keep and what you want to return. Returns are free. Once your return is received by Outfittery, you will be charged for the items you decided to keep!

How Does Outfittery’s Personal Shopper Select Clothing?

When you sign up, you’ll be asked to fill out a questionnaire that helps to determine your preferences and what the Outfittery box can offer you.

This questionnaire will ask you to choose outfits that suit you from the options provided in photos. You will also be able to specify if you don’t wear certain types of clothing (brand logos, specific patterns and colors, etc.), as well as your favorite brands and your age range.

Next, you’ll be asked to provide details about your body type, specifically:

If you have a specific request, you will also have the option to specify it before finalizing your order. For example, in my husband’s case, he was able to indicate that he has contact allergies to certain metals.

How does the settlement process work?

After completing your profile, you have the following options:

The payment method you choose will be set as the default for billing you for any clothing items you decide to keep after receiving them. If you need to change this payment method later on, that will always be possible.

❗ Attention, to ensure that your payment method is reliable, Outfittery will hold $100 for twelve hours after it has been validated. The money will not be withdrawn, but you must have this amount available in your bank account.

What sizes of clothing does Outfittery offer?

👨 For men, Outfittery offers clothing sizes from 36 (XS) to 52 (3XL) with shoes ranging from 39 to 48, accommodating a wide variety of body types.

👩 For women, Outfittery selects clothing from XS to XXL. You will be asked for your waist size (between 26 and 34), and you can specify the length, between 30, 32, or 34 (to avoid hemming!).

📸 You have the option to send photographs of yourself to your personal shopper, so they can take them into account when selecting clothing. This is especially helpful for finding outfits that complement your skin tone and highlight your eyes.

No, registration is free. However, to verify your payment method, whether it’s PayPal or a credit card, you need to have at least $100 in your bank account. This is because Outfittery will temporarily hold this amount for 12 hours to authenticate your payment method.

My verdict on the Outfittery box ⭐⭐⭐

Outfittery launched its women’s box in May, and I thought it would be a fun opportunity to try it out as a couple so we could compare our experiences. In June, we both ordered our first boxes, sharing our preferences and needs through the profile questionnaire.

I found this to be very thorough and quite accurate: I had high expectations regarding the boxes. They arrived about two weeks later.

The packaging is truly top-notch, and the box looks like a little suitcase, making you eager to open it up quickly! The clothes inside are neatly folded and separated into bundles.

On my side, I only kept one item from this initial selection, as my closet was already quite full and not everything really appealed to me. I appreciated the ease of returns! My husband kept several items from his box and was very happy with the entire selection.

We were supposed to receive our next box in September, but I got a shipping notification in August. I had to contact Outfittery to cancel this incorrect shipment by phone, which took me some time. It’s a pity that this can’t be done through the website.

We received the September selection a few weeks ago and I’m really happy with it—it suits me perfectly! I had mentioned to my personal shopper that I was looking for skirts and dresses for the fall-winter season, and she truly listened to me.
