To send flowers, in the past, you had to go to an Interflora florist. Nowadays, things have become much more convenient, and you can do everything online!
A few months ago, for Mother's Day, I wanted to gift my mum a floral subscription: I turned to Aquarelle for this service. Let me share with you whether the outcome was up to my expectations.
What is the Aquarelle flower subscription?

👍 I absolutely loved it!
- The beauty of bouquets,
- The attractive pricing,
- The option to order without commitment instead of paying everything upfront,
- Aquarelle's eco-friendly approach (Kraft packaging, flowers from France, ...)
❌ What I Liked Less
- No option to choose the flowers or the colour of the ordered bouquets,
- Cannot add a small gift to your order,
- The bouquets are not made by a local florist and are shipped via parcel.

How Does the Aquarelle Flower Subscription Work?
Since most people love receiving flowers, the Aquarelle floral subscription is a fantastic way to bring a touch of nature and vibrant colours into your home.
With this subscription plan, the recipient (which could be yourself) will regularly receive a surprise bouquet delivered to their chosen address. This could even be at a workplace to brighten up a reception desk or an office area, for example.
What are the possible options for bouquets?
Unlike the flower arrangements with templates available on the website, the bouquets from subscriptions are created without a predetermined template, based on:
- the arrival of fresh seasonal flowers from France at the workshop,
- the inspiration and style of the florist.
Aquarelle offers you two different sizes of bouquets:
👉 A 35 cm bouquet typically consists of around 15 small to medium roses or seasonal flowers. For a 40 cm bouquet, you can expect about 20 flowers instead.
35 cm Diameter Bouquet
What's the subscription frequency?
Aquarelle offers three delivery options:
- Once a month,
- Twice a month,
- Four times a month.
👉 When you sign up, you'll need to select the date for your first delivery. The bouquets will be delivered between 8am and 2pm, excluding public holidays. If you choose a Saturday, subsequent deliveries will also be made on the same day: you'll also have the option to check their schedule from your customer account.
Who Creates the Bouquets?
The bouquets are crafted by Aquarelle florists, who operate from a workshop located in France, in the Oise region. The delivery of the bouquets is then guaranteed:
- by bicycle if you live in Paris,
- or through a traditional courier service if you live elsewhere.

Which flowers will be included in the Aquarelle bouquets?
In subscription packages, we're featuring seasonal flowers from France. This means that during winter, you can expect to see flowers like tulips, ranunculus, and anemones... and you'll have to wait until May for a lovely bouquet of peonies to arrive!
You can't select the colour of your bouquet, but by choosing Aquarelle, you're supporting the French economy and ensuring the fair payment of French flower producers. Choosing an Aquarelle subscription is also a meaningful step towards caring for the planet, as it avoids air freight for flowers and reduces excessive packaging.
Is there a no-commitment offer with Aquarelle?
Absolutely, and this is particularly what sets the brand apart from some of its competitors. For me, this factor was crucial. If you choose the "no commitment" option, the price of the package, which is S$39, will be automatically billed for each delivery.
🤑 Aquarelle appreciates your loyalty: for every 11 bouquets, you'll receive one bouquet for free!
Who are Aquarelle flower subscriptions for?
The Aquarelle flower box, with its modular design, is perfect for giving a gift. The no-obligation offer allows you to send a bouquet at regular intervals, while also giving you the flexibility to stop at any time.
If you're looking to sign up for regular flower deliveries over an extended period, Aquarelle is the way to go because their prices are more competitive than those of Interflora, for instance.
Finally, Aquarelle is a perfect floral subscription for those who care about the environment and want to make a responsible purchase. Whether it’s about the packaging or the flowers grown in France, the brand focuses on this aspect, allowing you to send flowers or brighten up your home while staying true to your values.
What is the price of the Aquarelle flower subscription?
Aquarelle does not list its pricing in a table on their website. To access the information, you need to use the subscription tool. To help you navigate and compare the offerings, I have therefore summarised Aquarelle's floral subscription prices in two tables.
👉 All these prices include delivery fees. They remain the same whether you purchase a gift card for a subscription or buy the subscription directly.
🔸 Watercolour Flower Prices - 35 Centimetre Bouquet
1 month (no commitment) | 3 months | 6 months | 1 year
1 bouquet /month | 39 SGD (per month) | 117 SGD | 222.30 SGD | 421.20 SGD |
2 bouquets /month | 78 SGD (per month) | 222.30 SGD | 421.20 SGD | 842.40 SGD |
4 bouquets /month | 156 SGD (per month) | 421.20 SGD | 842.40 SGD | 1684.80 SGD |
🔸 Watercolor Prices - 40 Centimeter Bouquet
1 month (no commitment) | 3 months | 6 months | 1 year
1 bouquet /month | 49 SGD (per month) | 147 SGD | 279.30 SGD | 529.20 SGD |
2 bouquets /month | 98 SGD (per month) | 279.30 SGD | 529.20 SGD | 1,058.40 SGD |
4 bouquets /month | 196 SGD (per month) | 529.20 SGD | 1,058.40 SGD | 2,116.80 SGD |
👉 Even if you order 4 bouquets each month for a year, you'll need to pay the full amount upfront when you place your order. Here are my two tips for making your payments easier:
- Pay using Paypal and take advantage of their 4 instalments payment plan with no extra charges.
- Subscribe without any commitment and you'll be charged S$39 each time a bouquet is sent out.
What Does a Watercolour Flower Bouquet Look Like?
As for me, I was pleased with the bouquets I had sent to my mother through Aquarelle. I managed to see some of them in person and received photos of the others, and I appreciated the variety of flower types that made them up and the harmony of colors created by the florist.
Compared to what you can find at a florist for the same price, I find that the volume of the watercolour bouquets is quite impressive. The bouquets are well-packaged and have always arrived in good condition.
On the other hand, I was able to include a little note with my first order, which was attached to the bouquet as a card. That's really nice!
Discover Aquarelle Gift Cards for Sending Flower Bouquets
Instead of signing up for a subscription on behalf of someone else, Aquarelle gives you the option to gift an e-gift card. This allows the recipient of the bouquet to set up a subscription directly on the Aquarelle website.
Who Should You Give Aquarelle Flower Bouquets To?
Flowers bring joy to most people! Whether it’s for a thank you, congratulations, or to celebrate a special moment in life (like a birth, wedding, birthday, or graduation...), a flower subscription can be a wonderful surprise that will delight the recipient and provide enjoyment over time.
How to give an Aquarelle gift card?
All you need to do is go to the "subscription" section of the website and choose "e-gift card". Then, you select the duration and frequency of the subscription, enter your message, and proceed to payment. Once you’ve completed the payment, Aquarelle will send you a code via email, which you can pass on to the gift recipient.
What are the benefits of this system? 💚
- The gift can be given right away and it will remain a surprise,
- The recipient can choose their own date for the first delivery,
- You don’t need to know the recipient's details to give them your gift.
What is the main downside of this gift card? ❌
This type of subscription does not give access to the no-commitment offer, which allows you to pay for the bouquets as they are delivered and cancel whenever you want. The minimum order is one bouquet per month for three months.
👉 This is the main reason why I chose to sign up directly instead of using the gift card.

My Verdict on Interflora's Flower Subscription
After three months of Aquarelle subscription, I can share my initial thoughts with you.
🔹 When it comes to signing up on the site, it was very easy and I was able to quickly find what I was looking for. I didn't use the gift card system because I wanted to get a no-commitment subscription to send bouquets to my mum for a few months.
🔹 Regarding the bouquets, the outcome was delightful and met my expectations. My mum was thrilled with the surprise and really appreciated the little note that came with it. I wish I could have added a small gift to my order, like chocolates or a candle, as I noticed that Aquarelle has its own collection of candles. It's a pity that this isn't an option...
🔹 Of course, I would have preferred to engage a florist near my mum's place, but I really wanted bouquets with flowers from France and that wasn't possible. Aquarelle was therefore the best compromise to meet this request, while ensuring that the bouquet was made by "real" florists.
🔹 Before choosing Aquarelle, I checked out what other options are available. Compared to the competition, Aquarelle Flowers becomes really appealing when you order or have bouquets delivered regularly or over a long period. The no-obligation offer is also not available with Interflora: it's quite handy, and I’m delighted that there’s one free bouquet for every 11 ordered.
✅ My experience with the floral subscription from Aquarelle was a positive one, both for me and the recipient of the bouquets! There were no delays, and the arrangements were beautiful, although I would have appreciated more options for customization.

For a woman's birthday, you can give her a lovely bouquet of seasonal flowers or roses. Red roses are quite romantic, while flowers in pastel shades are more suitable if you want to express your affection.
