How does the Blissim box work?

Blissim offers you the chance to receive, each month, at a collection point or in your letterbox, a beauty box containing 5 to 6 miniatures that may include:

• cosmetic products: day creams, moisturisers, serums,...
• make-up: eyeshadow, lipstick, kohl, eyeliner, highlighter...
• cleansing products: shampoo, shower gel, etc...

Right from the homepage of the site, Blissim presents itself as the number one beauty box in New Zealand, which naturally sets high expectations!

But the brand is not new to the scene... It was established in 2011 under the name Joliebox, later becoming BirchBox, and finally rebranding in 2020 to Blissim to give it a more international appeal. It is owned by a Franco-American company called Beautycom, which is based in Paris, in the Montmartre district. Its CEO is Quentin Reygrobellet, and it is listed on the website société.com:

My Verdict on Blissim

Before trying out the Blissim box for real, I had heard about it for several years. I had also subscribed to other beauty boxes, so I had high expectations for this highly talked-about number one box in France!

🧡 I signed up for a no-obligation subscription through the website. I was a bit worried that the delivery wouldn’t be tracked, but I was pleasantly surprised to receive my box very quickly, in just a few days. It was a collaboration with the brand Caudalie, whose products I really enjoy. I immediately loved the design of the box, featuring a liberty print, along with the products included.

💛 Every month, Blissim offers products from well-known brands that I enjoy testing and sharing with my friends. I filled out my beauty questionnaire to provide Blissim with information about my profile. I have sensitive skin that is prone to redness, so some products aren't suitable for me. Since then, Blissim has taken this into account and I haven't received any products that cause a reaction on my skin so far. If that were to happen, I discovered while reading other customer reviews that I could contact customer service to exchange the product by explaining the situation, which puts my mind at ease!

💙 Sometimes, I do wish that they were full-size products: they’re not samples either, but some boxes like the Biotyfull box do offer full-size options and that’s quite nice! However, the price of Blissim remains very appealing.

How to cancel your Blissim subscription?

There are two possible situations:

🔸 You have signed up for a subscription with a commitment

In this case, you will need to wait until the end of your commitment period (usually 12 months) to cancel it.

🔸 You’ve subscribed to Blissim with a no-commitment offer or your commitment period has ended

You can easily unsubscribe at any time. Just head over to your "my account" section on the Blissim.fr website, then navigate to the "subscription management" section in the menu and select the option "suspend my subscription".

You can suspend it indefinitely or for a period of 1, 3, or 6 months, depending on your preferences. Suspending it for a month can be very handy if you're heading overseas for a holiday, for example! 🌴
