To give you an idea of what to expect when your box arrives, let’s take a look at the contents of the Glossybox for May 2022, which was themed "Perfectly Imperfect".

Upon receiving this box filled with positive and warm colours, I was able to discover:

I really enjoyed the exfoliating sponge; it’s super handy for washing the body and relaxing. I especially got to try it with the cleansing oil included in the set, and together they work a treat.

The highlighter is a quality product that matches my skin tone perfectly. I’ll be using it this summer! The firming serum is also a lovely find, with its non-sticky texture and pleasant orange scent. It’s best to apply it in the evening, as it takes a while to absorb into the skin.

Finally, Glossybox included in this box a Banana Beauty lip pencil of excellent quality! The colour doesn’t quite suit me, but it made my little sister very happy when I gave it to her! 😉

Glossybox is the trading name of the company THG Beauty Limited, which is based in the UK. It is part of "The Hut Group", hence the initials THG, which has been around since 2004 and operates over 300 websites focused on cosmetics, beauty, and nutrition.

It is therefore a reliable company, operated by a well-known large group. However, as it is based in the UK, there is no option to contact them by phone. For returns, Glossybox has warehouses in Europe, which helps to avoid all the customs issues related to Brexit. The brand has also communicated to reassure its customers about this.

On review sites like Trustpilot, the brand takes the time to respond to its customers, but with a standard, copy-pasted message that is always the same. So, I recommend contacting them directly through the form available on your "My Account" page on the Glossybox website. The brand usually replies within 24 hours on business days.

✅ In summary, Glossybox is a brand with a strong financial foundation, owned by a well-known international group. Given this, it would have been nice to have a phone customer service option, even though the brand does offer online messaging as a way to get in touch.

My Verdict on Glossybox

🧡 Glossybox is a beauty box that may not be groundbreaking, but it has one undeniable advantage: its low price! Compared to competitors like MyLittleBox or Biotyfull Box, which offer pricier options, the cost of €12.50 for receiving a beauty box every month for a year is quite appealing!

💛 I also appreciated the quality of the products and the various themes of the gift boxes. The website is very clear and well-explained: it makes you want to order, and you don't feel like you're being conned by a scam.

💜 I also loved the concept of limited editions, which allow us to give beautiful gifts to our loved ones. Next year, I already know what I'll be gifting my mum for Mother's Day!
