My Opinion on GLOWRIA in 2024: Is It Worth the Price?

Until I discovered Glowria, beauty boxes didn’t really appeal to me. I was concerned about being inundated with all sorts of samples when I would have preferred actual products. However, what motivated me to subscribe was that the Glowria beauty box offers only full-sized products, which means proper sizes!

After having received and tested 3 boxes, I'm sharing my thoughts so you can decide whether this box is really worth it or not.

What is the Glowria Box?

How does the Glowria beauty box (formerly Beautiful Box) work?

Previously known as Beautiful box by au Féminin, this beauty box was rebranded in January 2021 to become the Glowria box. It is a monthly subscription box that you receive at home, containing a selection of cosmetic products.

The unique thing about Glowria is that the products are sold in full size, which means they come in larger formats, unlike the samples and miniatures you find in other beauty boxes (Blissim, Lookfantastic, My Little Box...).

The products included in the Glowria box allow you to receive a new beauty routine every month, often accompanied by accessories such as masks, makeup sponges, and more...

Receiving a beauty box means getting an original surprise in your mailbox every month, helping you to take care of yourself daily and treat yourself. 😉

Who is the Glowria box for?

On the Glowria site, we learn that the box has been designed for all women. It is defined as:

• authentic,
• inclusive,
• and committed.

This desire to celebrate all types of beauty is one of the elements that captivated me about Glowria. This concept was already present in the previous Beautiful box, but now it's fully embraced, which is great to see!

What is the price of Glowria?

Unlike other beauty boxes that offer a variety of subscription options, Glowria keeps it simple by giving you the choice between:

• A monthly subscription at R16.90 with automatic renewal,
• A yearly subscription at R185.

👉 The monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time through your account portal. The annual subscription commits you for a period of twelve months, but you do receive a free box. The choice is yours!

For my part, I opted for security with a monthly subscription that automatically renews. I felt confident that I could pause it or cancel it if I no longer liked the service, for instance.

What payment options does Glowria offer?

Even if you opt for a monthly subscription, payments on Glowria can be made either through Paypal or with your credit card. This means that if your credit card expires during your subscription, you must remember to update your details with the new card to continue receiving your box.

👉 Personally, I've chosen to pay via PayPal, which I find convenient and secure! 😉

When you order a beauty box online, you never really know what to expect, and it’s natural to worry about being disappointed. This is especially true with Glowria, as the site doesn’t show us any previous boxes.

🤑 The total value of the products, not including the box itself which is quite lovely, is R1,500. For the price of the box, R300, you save over R1,200! When it comes to price, the Glowria box is very appealing.

Can you gift a Glowria subscription? 🎁

It’s a pity, but Glowria does not yet offer a gift card with an activatable code like you can find with My Little Box, for example. To subscribe someone of your choice, you have two options:

• Take out a monthly payment plan and cancel whenever you want the subscription to end,
• Sign up for a annual offer to give a fantastic gift!

👉 If you choose one of these options, all you need to do is provide the name and address of the recipient when you register, at the point where you need to enter the delivery address. 😉

Who should you gift a Glowria box to?

A subscription box is the perfect gift for a friend, your mom, your partner, or even a younger sister, cousin, niece, etc. An annual subscription can make a lovely group gift!

My verdict on the Glowria Box ⭐⭐⭐

After three months of subscribing, here’s my opinion on the Glowria box. Having previously subscribed to other beauty boxes, including My Little Box, I really appreciated that Glowria offers full-sized products at an unbeatable price.

If you're looking to discover new products and save money with a simple subscription, this is the box I recommend.

👉 Another detail I really liked is receiving two boxes in summer, one for July and one for August, whereas the competition usually sends a double box. This means two surprises!

However, I found the Glowria box to be less engaging when it comes to its community compared to others. The themes of the boxes are a bit less original and can sometimes be a bit repetitive. There are times when similar products are received from one month to the next.

How to Cancel Your Glowria Subscription?

Glowria gives you the option to pause your subscription for a few months without having to cancel it completely. To do this, simply go to your client area, then navigate to the My Subscriptions section. After that, click on "View Details", then select "Pause".

👉 This will pause the box from the following month for the chosen duration (1, 2, or 3 months).
