Recently, I subscribed to the Prescription Lab box for 3 months. I wanted to try out this kit as it seemed more polished and refined compared to other subscription boxes. In this testimonial article, I'll share my thoughts on it!

• 2 products from partner brands in travel size, perfect for testing and easy to carry around with you,
• The monthly issue of "Le prescripteur" magazine, a genuine lifestyle and beauty magazine with over 50 pages.

What types of products can you find in a Prescription Lab box?

👉 Prescription Lab is quite a versatile subscription box. Among the selection of products, you will find:

• Some cleansing products: shampoo, dry shampoo, face mask, shower gel, conditioner...
• Wellness products: pillow mist, spray to help with falling asleep, massage oils,

Prescription Lab gives you the chance to fill out a profile questionnaire so we can provide you with products that suit your needs. It’s not mandatory, as it mostly deals with skincare and wellness products for your daily routine, rather than makeup.

🍂 The products sent are tailored for the current season. In summer, you’ll receive UV protection products, while in winter, the brand focuses on moisturising products to protect the skin from the harsh cold.

👉 One of the things I love about subscribing to Prescription Lab is receiving products that I can actually use. Having subscribed to other beauty boxes in the past, I was often disappointed with makeup products that just didn’t suit me: foundation, eyeshadows, or lipsticks in colours that weren’t at all right for me... Thankfully, I haven’t been disappointed at all with Prescription Lab in this regard.

Even though I loved this summer's double box, I prefer to use a more traditional box as an example, specifically the one from June 2022, so you can get a good idea of what a Prescription Lab box can be like.

In this box, we found the following items:

• A retail-sized product: the hydrating cream gel from Respire,
• A conditioner from Les secrets de Loly, themed "Pink Paradise" (it smells so good!), full-size,
• Some micellar water from Payot, in a mini size, which I loved during all my travels this summer,
• A shampoo from Prescription Lab Beauty, which helped my hair withstand the sun and chlorine attacks this summer!

📖 The box also came with the monthly magazine "The Prescriber", which I enjoyed reading on the beach this summer. My friend who was with me even borrowed it!

What is the price of the Prescription Lab box?

Prescription Lab is slightly more expensive than the budget boxes available in the market (like Blissim, Glowria, My Little Box...), but it’s less than five dollars more, and that’s because it is positioned as a premium option. The box includes prestigious products as well as a genuine magazine.

When you sign up, you have three options to choose from:

⭐ Our subscribers' favourite option is a monthly payment of S$30.80 via direct debit, which you can cancel with just one click. It's convenient and allows you to receive your box without the hassle of placing an order regularly.

You can also choose a 3-month or 1-year subscription. Both operate like a monthly withdrawal, except that the payment is made at the end of the period. Do take note, if you don't cancel it by the end of the subscription period, it will automatically renew.

These two options reward your loyalty with gifts:

👉 Personally, I chose the three-month subscription, which I eventually converted into a monthly subscription at the end of the first quarter. It's very convenient because it allows me to pause my subscription if I no longer want to receive the box.

What are the different payment methods accepted?

Prescription Lab accepts credit cards including Mastercard, Visa, and Visa Electron. Unfortunately, payments cannot be made via cheque, direct debit, bank transfer, or PayPal.

Is the delivery of the Prescription Lab box chargeable?

No, everything is included in the price stated. However, if you would like to receive your box sooner, you can choose a tracked delivery, which adds SGD 2.90 to your monthly order price.

Is there a Prescription Lab gift card? 🎁

I've done some research on the topic, and here's a summary of what I've learned.

The first price is S$41.20 for a two-month subscription, including delivery. This is an attractive offer that you won't find with competitors, who usually provide subscriptions starting at three months.

It's also possible to subscribe someone for:

• 3 months at a price of SGD 58, saving you 5%,
• 6 months at a price of SGD 111.46, saving you 10%,
• 1 year at a price of SGD 227, and you'll get a free box!

👉 If you're looking to introduce the box to someone, I recommend the two or three-month subscription. For a renewal or a lovely gift, you might want to consider giving a one-year subscription!

What will it look like?

Prescription Lab offers you three delivery options so you can gift your present in a way that suits you best:

My Verdict on the Prescription Lab Box ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Before trying Prescription Lab, I had subscribed to other beauty boxes like My Little Box and Blissim. What attracted me to this one is its more premium and less childish vibe compared to the others.

The order was super easy to place: I just went to the website, selected my subscription, and made the payment. Since I did it at the start of the month, I received the box for the current month.

I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't possible to pay via Paypal as I'm not too keen on sharing my credit card number for online payments, but it was a secure payment, so I didn’t encounter any issues.

Firstly, I received the June box, which I really liked, both for the products and the overall presentation. I appreciated that there were two "large formats" that I could use daily, as well as some "travel size" products, including a micellar water that I was able to bring along on holiday.

I then received the double box for July and August, which I really liked, especially because of the quality of the products provided. What I appreciate about Prescription Lab is that I was actually able to use and test all the products, as they were all suitable for me.
