As a parent, choosing clothes for your little one can sometimes be quite challenging, and I definitely know this from my experience with my 7-year-old son, Lucien. Between the hours spent on Vinted trying to find second-hand clothes and the complicated fitting sessions in stores, it feels like a lot of time is wasted that could be better spent having fun and enjoying family moments.
A few months ago, while talking about these challenges, I was offered the chance to try out Little Cigogne, a personal shopper service (similar to Lookiero, La malle française, or Clic and Fit), but for kids! I’ll share my thoughts on this box and whether I would recommend it to you!

How Does Little Cigogne Work?
Little Cigogne offers a Personal Shopper service for children aged 6 months to 14 years. This means you will receive a curated selection of clothing for your child, crafted by a stylist, delivered to your home at your preferred frequency.
In each box, you'll find a total of three complete outfits (top, jacket, and bottom). You can let your child try on these clothes in the comfort of your home, and then return, free of charge, any items that don't fit. You only pay for what you choose to keep!
How does a personal shopper know which clothes to choose?
When you sign up for Little Cigogne, you'll fill out a very detailed questionnaire that will help the stylist understand your needs better. For instance, for my son, I was able to specify:
- From examples that matched his style,
- What colours he liked and those he didn't,
- The brands I usually dressed him in,
- The patterns he loves (like animals, characters...) and those he likes less (like checks, polka dots...),
- Some items he doesn't like to wear (like turtlenecks, hoods...),
- The fits that suit him best (loose, straight, fitted...)
- His sizes for tops, pants, and shoes,
- My specific needs for this order (e.g., lightweight and durable clothing for summer).
📷 I also sent a photo of my son so that the stylist could see the colour of his hair and eyes, to choose outfits that highlight his features. He has very beautiful blue eyes, and wearing that colour really makes them pop!

How often do I receive my Little Cigogne box?
After I completed my questionnaire, Little Cigogne offered me several options for how often I would like to receive my box:
- One box with no commitment, for you to try! (with a delivery fee of SGD 6.95),
- A box every two months or every three months (with free delivery).
👉 Once you receive the box, you can open it with your child and let them try on the clothes. You can choose which ones to keep and send back the rest. The return is free and will be done in an envelope provided with the box, within 7 days. You will only be charged for the clothes you decide to keep!
❌ Nothing caught your eye? You can return everything for free!
Who is the Little Cigogne box for?
Little Cigogne is a subscription box designed to relieve parents! By delivering a curated selection directly to their doorstep, it allows them to:
🔸 Get free advice from a professional stylist,
🔸 Easily find essentials for their child's daily needs,
🔸 Refreshing their son's or daughter's wardrobe,
🔸 Save time by spending less time in stores!
✅ Little Cigogne is the perfect solution for parents with children aged 6 months to 14 years who want to skip the hassle of shopping while allowing their kids to enjoy the fun of dressing up. Each trunk's arrival is an exciting surprise for the whole family!
How much does a Little Cigogne box cost?
Unlike other personal shopping services (for adults) that I've tried, Little Cigogne does not charge stylist consultation fees. This means that if you return all the clothes for free, you won't have to pay anything.
If you decide to try out a unique box with no commitment, you'll need to pay a delivery fee of S$6.90. If you're a subscriber, delivery is free!
The clothes that Little Cigogne sends in their boxes cost between SGD 15 and 45, and each box contains 3 outfits. This brings the price of the trunk to between SGD 225 and 375.
🤑 If you take all the clothes offered, you’ll get a 30% discount on the total, which is super worthwhile. That’s like getting almost a full outfit for free!

Can I gift a Little Cigogne subscription? 🎁
Little Cigogne doesn't offer a gift card for subscriptions just yet, but the website has an alternative: a gift box that you can choose for a child. There are three options available, which can be tailored based on whether the child is a girl or a boy:
🌃 A gift box with 2 pyjamas for SGD 39.99,
🤱 A newborn box for the first days at S$49.99 (3 items),
👶 A "My First Outfit" gift box at S$79.99 (5 pieces).
👉 There's also a referral program that allows you and your referee to enjoy a SGD 10 discount. To take advantage of this offer, log in to your account, go to the "My Info" section, then "Referrals", and you will find a form to send invitations to your potential referees via email or social media. You’ll get the SGD 10 discount once your referee makes their first order.

Are you thinking about ordering from Little Cigogne and would like to get a sneak peek of a box? Check out this video to see what it's like:
This unboxing allows us to see:
📦 What does a package look like and how are the clothes sent,
💲 What the document that shows the clothing prices looks like,
👕 What "3 outfits" really means,
👖 What to expect when ordering a Little Cigogne trunk...
As for me, I was pleased with the quality of the product packaging as well as the selection of clothing I received. I appreciated that the prices of the clothes were immediately available upon opening the package, without needing to search for them. This makes it easy to set aside the pieces that are too expensive or that we don’t like enough for the cost.
Get Ready for School with the "Back to School" Capsule Collection!
For the 2022 school term, Little Cigogne has partnered with Fresk to offer stylish and durable backpacks for school. The outcome is fantastic, featuring vibrant designs that kids will absolutely love.
This collaboration also offers essential items for school children: water bottles, thermal lunch boxes, raincoats, and rubber boots. Personally, I'm really tempted to order a raincoat along with a matching pair of boots: the result is absolutely adorable!

Thinking of recycling your clothes? Check out Little Geste, the good deed by Little Cigogne!
It's well known that children grow up really fast, and some clothes can become too small within just a few months. Of course, you can sell them, but that can sometimes take time. If you have some second-hand clothes to donate, Little Cigogne has its "Little Geste" initiative.
To do this, simply head over to this platform and request a free shipping voucher. Next, put the clothes, no matter what condition they are in, into a parcel and send it off. Once Little Cigogne receives it, you will get a S$20 discount voucher on a package of at least S$60! This attractive offer is limited to 2 submissions per year.
♻️ Clothes that are still in good condition will be given a new lease of life through charities, while those that are too worn out will be recycled!

Can we trust Little Cigogne, or is it a scam?
Little Cigogne is a simplified joint-stock company of the same name and has been around in the box industry for quite a while, having been established in 2012. It’s a French company located in Seine-et-Marne, led by Mathieu Waltzer.

The company places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction as it actively engages on social media, responding to inquiries on these platforms and taking the time to reply to reviews left on Trustpilot.
They can be reached through a customer service hotline, providing an immediate solution in case of any issues. Additionally, the site features a comprehensive FAQ section, which offers answers to many common questions.
Lastly, there’s no financial commitment. You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time after receiving your first box. So, you’ll only receive boxes when you feel like it.
✅ Little Cigogne is a reliable company that you can trust. If you encounter any issues, they provide you with ways to reach out to them.
My Take on the Little Cigogne Box
💙 Ever since I subscribed to Little Cigogne, I've received 3 boxes for my son, one every two months. While this frequency was nice to start with, I find it a bit too often for my liking, so I'm considering switching to 4 times a year, which means once every three months.
🧡 Generally speaking, I'm happy with the clothes I receive. They really match both my son's and my tastes. The questionnaire when you subscribe is quite thorough, and it's easy to provide feedback to your personal shopper through the website, so you can explain why you didn't like certain pieces of clothing.
💛 I also love the practicality of the site and how easy it is to use. You can easily access information, which saves time. The concept of the box itself also provides a valuable time-saving benefit. We go out shopping less frequently, and best of all, it's much more relaxed! My 7-year-old son isn't a fan of fitting rooms, so it's much nicer for him to try on clothes in the comfort of home, especially since the box is tailored directly for him.
💜 The only thing I regret a bit is the price: I usually keep only one or two outfits from each box, as it can get quite expensive for my budget. I wish I could specify on the site that I do not want any clothing items over $20, unless it's a coat, for example.
✅ For me, Little Cigogne is an incredibly practical solution to easily find new outfits for my son! I just wish the clothes offered were a bit more affordable so I could keep more or order more often! Nevertheless, I’m really pleased that the service is completely free if I ultimately decide not to keep any of the clothes.
