My Thoughts on JAPHY Pet Food: I Tried It with My Pets!

More than just pets, we often see our animals as part of the family. Caring for them is essential to keep them healthy and to share wonderful moments together.

With commercial pet food having a questionable reputation, Japhy offers you an alternative: custom meals tailored for your dog or cat, based on their lifestyle, age, and various characteristics to ensure they get exactly what they need.

Having a cat and a dog at home, I decided to try Japhy, starting with my fussy dog, followed by my cat. Here’s my verdict!

Japhy offers you a subscription that lets you receive pet food (kibble and pâté) tailored specifically for your furry friend, whether it’s a dog or a cat, delivered straight to your home or to a collection point.

What are the criteria considered?

The initial questionnaire helps us better understand your pet's profile so that we can provide a diet that is perfectly suited to their needs.

You will be asked to:

• Its species: dog or cat,
• Its name (to personalise the packaging and make the experience fun),
• Its gender,
• Whether it is sterilised,
• What its breed is (you can list up to two),
• Its age,
• Its activity level (low, moderate, or very active),
• Its body condition (underweight, normal, or slightly overweight),
• Its weight,
• Its food preferences:
• Kibble only or Kibble and Pâté,
• Preferred flavours: poultry, fish,

Can I register multiple pets on Japhy?

Absolutely, and it even gives you a discount:

How does the Japhy subscription work?

After your first 15-day trial, Japhy will invite you to set up your subscription. If you wish to cancel at this point, that's absolutely fine because Japhy has no commitment.

🐶 Your pet is getting kibble that is truly suited to their lifestyle, characteristics, and preferences, ensuring they remain happy and healthy.

👉 You can also choose terrines, which is what I did for my cat Orion who enjoys having them from time to time.

📦 Delivery is available to your home or at a collection point. You can select a base frequency:

• Every month,
• Every two months,
• Every three months.

However, if you ever need to move your delivery date forward or backward, it's not an issue; just let us know in your customer portal.

👉 For me, I had to move the date forward once because I took in another dog at home and fed him my dog Nomad's kibble for a few days. It all went smoothly without any issues!

🎉 Every package comes with a little gift for your pet. It could be a toy, some treats, or a pâté...

👉 The toys sent are of good quality, and the treats are really handy for practising positive reinforcement with my dog!

🍬 As a subscriber, we have the option to add a few products before confirming each order. This could include, for example:

👉 I sometimes give in to the temptation of ordering chew sticks for my dog before placing an order. Unlike commercial ones that are made with harmful materials (ash, glue), these contain rice, oats, vegetables, and herbs. I give them to my dog with full confidence!

In Japhy's recipes, you won't find:

👉 For my 10-kilo dog and my 5-kilo cat, I pay around S$60 and S$45 per month, respectively.

If you choose to place a simple order on the e-shop, delivery is free for purchases over S$45 per month and will be made within 72 hours.

• S$3.95 for delivery to a pick-up point.

My Verdict on Japhy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once I decided to have pets at home, it was important for me to take good care of them. So, I bought kibble for them from the vet or at a pet specialty store.

However, I was never really satisfied with those kibble brands that, despite their price, contained numerous additives and were quite greasy. So, I looked for an alternative, especially for my dog, Nomad, a 5-year-old Shetland sheepdog, who often has digestive issues.

When I decided to try Japhy, I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of ordering through a simple questionnaire. The 15-day trial at half price really lets you test out the kibble and see if it’s suitable for your pet.

My dog absolutely loved the Japhy kibble. I transitioned him from his old kibble as the brand suggested, and everything went really smoothly. It's been 4 months now since he has been eating only Japhy kibble, and he gets sick much less often. He hasn't gained any weight, so it seems quite balanced.
