As a parent, choosing clothes for your kids can sometimes be tricky, and I know this all too well with my 7-year-old son, Lucien. Between the hours spent on Vinted searching for second-hand clothes and the complicated trying-on sessions in stores, it's a lot of time that could be better spent having fun and enjoying quality family moments.
A few months ago, when I was discussing these challenges, I was offered the chance to try Little Cigogne, a personal shopping service (similar to Lookiero, La Malle Française, or Clic and Fit), but for kids! I'll let you discover what I thought of this box and whether I recommend it!

- The fact that the box is aimed at the child: a fantastic surprise for them!
- The time-saving aspect of this box,
- The contact with the personal shopper, Aurélie.
❌ I didn't like this as much
- Some clothing items that aren’t in my son's favourite colours,
- The price is a bit high,
- No option to specify his budget when ordering.
How Does Little Cigogne Work?
Little Cigogne offers a Personal Shopper service for children aged 6 months to 14 years. This means you’ll receive a selection of clothing curated by a stylist for your child, delivered right to your home as often as you like.
In each box, you'll find a total of three complete outfits (top, jacket, and bottoms). You can have your child try these clothes on in the comfort of your home, and then you can return, free of charge, anything that doesn’t fit. You only pay for what you keep!
How does a personal shopper know which clothes to choose?
When you sign up for Little Cigogne, you'll fill out a very detailed questionnaire that will help the stylist better understand your needs. For example, for my son, I was able to specify:
- From examples that matched his style,
- Which colours he liked and which ones he didn’t,
- The brands I usually dressed him in,
- The patterns he loves (like animals and characters) and those he’s less fond of (like checks and polka dots),
- Certain items he dislikes wearing (such as polo necks and hoods),
- The fits that suit him best (loose, straight, fitted...)
- His measurements for tops, trousers, and shoes,
- Any specific needs for this order (e.g., light and sturdy clothing for summer).
📷 I was also able to send a photo of my son so the stylist could see the colour of his hair and eyes, helping her choose clothes that would really suit him. He has stunning blue eyes, and wearing this colour brings them out beautifully!

How often do I receive my Little Cigogne box?
Once I completed my questionnaire, Little Cigogne offered me several options for how often I could receive my box:
- A single box with no commitment, for you to try out! (with a delivery fee of NZ$6.95),
- A box every two months or every three months (with free delivery).
👉 Once you receive the box, you can open it with your child and let them try on the clothes. You can choose which ones to keep and send back the rest. The returns are free and can be done using a prepaid envelope that will be included with the package, within 7 days. You will only be charged for the clothes you decide to keep!
❌ Not happy with anything? You can return everything for free!
Who is the Little Cigogne box for?
Little Cigogne is a service designed to ease the load for parents! By delivering a curated selection straight to their homes, it allows them to:
🔸 Get free advice from a professional stylist,
🔸 Easily find everyday essentials for their child,
🔸 Refreshing their son's or daughter's wardrobe,

✅ Little Cigogne is the perfect solution for parents of children aged 6 months to 14 years who want to avoid the hassle of shopping while allowing their child to enjoy the thrill of dressing up. The arrival of each parcel is a delightful surprise for the whole family!
How much does a Little Cigogne trunk cost?
Unlike other personal shopping services (for adults) that I've tried, Little Cigogne doesn't charge styling consultation fees. This means that if you return all the clothes for free, you won't have to pay anything.
If you choose to try a one-off box with no commitment, you'll pay $6.90 for delivery. Otherwise, delivery is free for subscribers!
The clothing that Little Cigogne sends in its boxes costs between $10 and $30, and each box includes 3 outfits. This brings the total price of the box to between $150 and $250.
🤑 If you keep all the clothing items offered, you'll receive a 30% discount on the total, which is a fantastic deal. It nearly gives you a full outfit for free!

Can I gift a Little Cigogne subscription? 🎁
Little Cigogne doesn't yet offer a gift card for a subscription, but the site does provide an alternative: a gift trunk that you can choose for a child. The site offers three options, which can be selected based on whether the child is a girl or a boy:
🌃 A gift box with 2 pyjama sets for just NZ$39.99,
🤱 A newborn box for those early days at $49.99 (3 pieces),
👶 A"My First Outfit" gift pack for $79.99 (5 pieces).
👉 There’s also a referral offer that lets you and your referee get a $10 discount. To make this offer work, you need to log into your account, then go to the "My Info" section, followed by "Referrals", where you can access a form to send invitations to your potential referees via email or social media. The $10 discount is granted as soon as your referee places their first order.

For my part, I was pleased with the quality of the product packaging as well as the selection of clothes I received. Get Ready for the New School Year with the "Back to School" Capsule Collection!
For the 2022 school year, Little Cigogne has partnered with the brand Fresk to offer stylish and durable backpacks for school. The outcome is impressive, featuring colourful designs that kids are sure to love.
This collaboration also offers everyday essentials for school kids: water bottles, insulated lunch boxes, raincoats, and rubber boots. Personally, I'm seriously considering ordering a raincoat and matching boots - the result is absolutely adorable!

Can we trust Little Cigogne, or is it a scam?
Little Cigogne is owned by a simplified joint-stock company of the same name, which has been around for quite some time in the box industry, having been established in 2012. It is a French company, based in Seine-et-Marne and led by Mathieu Waltzer.

The company places a high priority on customer satisfaction as it is active on social media, responding to inquiries on these platforms and taking the time to address reviews left on Trustpilot.
She can be reached through a customer service phone line, which provides an immediate solution in case of any issues. Additionally, the site offers a very comprehensive FAQ, which answers many common questions.
Finally, there is no financial commitment. You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time after receiving your first box. This means you only receive boxes when you want them.
✅ Little Cigogne is a reliable company you can trust. If you encounter any issues, they provide you with ways to get in touch with them.
My verdict on the Little Cigogne box
💙 Since I signed up for Little Cigogne, I've received three boxes for my son, one every two months. While this frequency was good to start with, I now find it a bit too often for my liking, so I'm considering switching to four times a year, which would mean once every three months.
🧡 Generally speaking, I'm really happy with the clothes I receive. They match both my son's tastes and mine. The questionnaire when signing up is very thorough, and it's easy to provide feedback to your personal shopper through the site, letting them know why you liked or didn't like certain items.
💛 I also love the practicality of the site and its user-friendly nature. Information is easily accessible, saving you time. The concept of the box itself also contributes to this valuable time-saving. We go shopping less often, and it’s definitely more relaxed! My 7-year-old son isn’t a fan of fitting rooms, so it’s much nicer for him to try on outfits in peace at home, especially since the box is tailored just for him.
💜 The only thing I regret a bit is the price: on average, I only keep one or two outfits from each box, as it quickly adds up for my budget. I wish I could specify on the site that I don't want clothes that cost more than $20, unless it's something like a coat, for instance.
✅ For me, Little Cigogne is an incredibly handy solution for easily finding new outfits for my son! I only wish the clothes offered were a bit more affordable, so I could keep more or order more often! However, I'm thrilled that the service is completely free if we decide not to keep any of the clothes.
